Josef Mysliveček, detto Il Boemo (1737–1781)

Výstava Josef Mysliveček, detto Il Boemo (1737–1781) seznámila návštěvníky se skladatelovým životním příběhem a tvorbou a představila jej coby mezinárodní osobnost v kontextu evropských dějin a kultury. Kromě Myslivečka samotného přiblížila také osudy jeho spolupracovníků a současníků, slavných pěvců a pěvkyň a dalších skladatelů včetně W. A. Mozarta a Ch. W. Glucka. Umožnila návštěvníkům lépe poznat žánr italské vážné opery, jemuž se Mysliveček nejvíce věnoval a který mu přinesl slávu, a nabídla způsoby, jak italskou vážnou operu poslouchat a jak v dnešní době znovu ocenit její citovou sílu a hloubku.

Součástí výstavy byly vybrané kostýmy z filmu Il Boemo, které vznikly podle autentických dobových postupů, a exkluzivní projekce Myslivečkových brilantních árií natočených s nejvýznamnějšími současnými pěvci v dobových kostýmech a divadelních kulisách a při světle svící. Výstava byla určena všem, kteří se na základě zážitku z filmu chtěli dozvědět více o Myslivečkově životě a době, i milovníkům klasické hudby. Její součástí byly také aktivity pro školy.

The exhibition Josef Mysliveček, detto Il Boemo (1737–1781) introduces visitors to the composer's life and work, presenting him as an international figure in the context of European history and culture. Besides Mysliveček, the lives of his colleagues and contemporaries are presented as well as famous male and female singers and composers including W.A. Mozart and Ch.W. Gluck. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about Italian opera to which Mysliveček was fully devoted and that brought him fame. The exhibition further offers the strategies to listen to Italian opera today and to re-appreciate its emotional strength and depth.

The exhibition displays selected costumes from the Il Boemo film, made with the use of authentic historical techniques, and exclusive projections of Mysliveček's brilliant arias, filmed with the most outstanding contemporary singers wearing historical costumes in a theatre stage setting and with lit candles. The exhibition is rewarding for all those who are interested in learning more about Mysliveček's life and time based on their film experience, as well as for classical music lovers. The exhibition also includes school programmes.
