Jan Rothmayer
Television technician and photographer Jan Rothmayer (2. 2. 1932 Prague-Břevnov – 25. 2. 2010 Prague-Břevnov), the son of an architect, captured as a child in many historical photographs, became the guardian of the legacy of both parents after the death of his mother, and his successful efforts to preserve the authentic environment in the house and garden are admirable. Even earlier, however, he became an assistant and later a student of photographer Josef Sudek and a distinctive photographic personality, gradually developing his own photographic style. His black and white photographs capture not only the transformations of the "magic garden" and the interiors of the house, but also served as an important source for the reconstruction of the house and garden.
