The Lost Podskalí and Forgotten Life on the Vltava River
The customs house has been here for over 500 years. The customs officers have left, a pub remains on the ground floor, and the first floor houses an exhibition that introduces the building’s original purpose and takes you on a tour of the no longer existing, unique neighborhood known as Podskalí.

This half-sunk customs house survived when the Vltava riverbank was raised against floods. Inside you’ll see how timber once floated into Prague – because without wood, there’s no city.
