A Tradition That Lasted for Centuries
The Podskalí Customs House at Výtoň is one of the last surviving monuments of historic Podskalí, preserving the memory of this unique riverside district shaped by the Vltava and defined by timber rafting, fishing, sand extraction, ice harvesting and steamship navigation. In 2022, the remarkable tradition of timber rafting was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
