The Museum of Prague’s Main Building Is Opening Soon. It’s Going to Be Big!

6. 12. 2025 – 7. 12. 2025
We’re preparing an exciting programme for families with children — and for everyone else, too. Florenc is going to be buzzing.

The weekend of 6 and 7 December 2025 will be lively at Florenc, as the Museum of Prague's main building opens with an exciting programme for families, children, and all visitors. If you have other plans, feel free to cancel them because this legendary opening will be a historic event. We have a good nose for that.

It's confirmed. Saint Nicholas and his partner will arrive, along with our mascot Grifo, though it was obvious he wouldn't miss out on such a fun event. And guess what? We've received a secret report – they will bring gifts for all children. Expect packets of dried fruit, colouring books, puzzles, and more.

If you visit between 10 am and 5 pm, you can move your hips to the lively beats played by professional DJs Domizako and Atomal behind the mixing desk. Feel free to dance your way to the Christmas tree, located to the left in the foyer. It's definitely worth seeing!

Right in front of the building, you can stop at the warm refreshments stand. Nearby, there will be a guarded parking area for prams of our youngest visitors. Don't miss out on anything, as one event follows another. It would be a shame to miss any of it. Take a look.
