History of The Village of Vinoř

This exhibition, which was organized in cooperation with the Prague – Vinoř Municipal District, provides information about the history of the village of Vinoř. The exhibition features the changes of Vinoř over time and presents the most important historical events as well as remarkable Vinoř citizens and natives. It is divided into several sections that focus on education, outstanding clergymen, Vinoř chateau, and the mayors of Vinoř. The first written references about the village of Vinoř come from 1088 and since 1974 it has been part of the capital city of Prague.The preserved town suit of a fireman and a cope from the 19th century, which was lent by the Vinoř Parish Office, belong to the most interesting exhibits.
