Architect Adolf Loos – Models and Photos

The exhibition presents a unique collection of models and photographs of works and unrealized projects of the famous architect Adolf Loos.

The exhibition entitled Architect Adolf Loos – models and photographs in the gallery of the Norbertov Study and Documentation Center is an important part of the sightseeing tour including the Müller Villa, the Rothmayer Villa and the Norbert Study and Documentation Center and was part of the retrospective exhibition ADOLF LOOS WORLDWIDE, which was organized by the Prague City Museum in cooperation with the National Technical Museum in Prague on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Adolf Loos.

The selection of presented photographs is also a cross-section of a long-term survey of the work of Adolf Loos in the Czech Republic, which the Prague City Museum started in 2003. Thanks to the research and activities of the Study and Documentation Center of Adolf Loos, it was possible to once again bring Loos's work into wide awareness, which subsequently led to a successful restoration of several Pilsen interiors by Adolf Loos. It was also possible to save one of the first buildings in Moravia, Viktor Bauer's villa in Hrušovany near Brno.
